Classic Rome from the Jewish perspective

Classic Rome from the Jewish perspective

Rome in 2.800 years: from 753 BCE across Giulis Caesar History and roman empire to the Shoah.
I would like to share with you my knowledge and history of my family including the bitter period of the nazi occupation of Rome.

Colosseum , Roman Forum, Titus triumphal Arch, Palatine and Capitol Hill.

The Jewish free communities lived in Rome and in old Roman Empire from 2.200 years ago, but only with the Great General Juliu Caesar they had the protection of the Senate.
This tour show you the roman life from different persective: the middle class of the Jewish merchants was the strong link between Rome and the Orient.
The Jewish merchants and doctor followed the most important naval merchants routes, they arrived in Ostia the main port of Rome, and in Trastevere, the right river of the Tiber where the oriental communities lived.
They used to go every morning in the Forum, they saw their brothers in chains during the deportation from Jerusalem, and probably for last time , the Menorah of the II Temple.
